Scientists at the University of Tokyo have developed a pair of goggles which records everything you see, identifies objects, and creates a searchable video database of the troubles you’ve seen, they call it Cyber Goggles. These Goggles transmit a live video feed to your computer, and then analyzes the images with a ultrahigh-speed image recognition processing software, then creates the database after distinguishing objects. This could be very usefull for those who misplace their keys and mobiles all of the time.

DARPA’s Contract For Spy Plane That Stays Aloft For 5 Years

According to Flight Global, DARPA is planning to award a contract to build an unmanned aircraft that can stay in the air for up to 5 years at a time. DARPA named it the  “Vulture” project and descirbes it as a “persistent pseudo-satellite capability in an aircraft package.” In other words, the aircraft can hover over a single area, narcing, communicating, or surveying for years at a time.

Oil spilling is a big challenge to the environment, and the only solution to avoid its deadly effects is to to clean up the spill as soon as possible. This can be easily done with help of robots that do not fatigue and tire like humans do. Their designer Ji-hoon Kim named them OSP and claims that these robots can work autonomously together by surrounding an oil spill with an inflatable barrier. Once the whole spill is contained, clean-up crews can get to work, and suck all crude out.

It’s using the same principle as bone-conduction speakers, the microphone picks up vibrations from your larynx and turns them into sound. As it doesn’t rely on vibrations in air, it’s useful in the outdoors, and “when driving a convertible or a motorcycle.”
