General Motors’ Australian subsidiary, Holden are known for making some really fast, rear wheel driven, muscle cars. And in the process, a few Holden cars have become Aussie legends. Now, we have an oldie, the 1948 Holden FX that is all set to go under the hammer for a whopping $1.2 million. Sixty year old Holden sits at a New South Wales dealership and an offer of $900,000 for this vintage beauty has already been rejected by it’s owner, Charlie McCarron. The whopper of a price for the FX is mainly due to the fact that this is one of the three only surviving models of the FX. The car has higher trim compared to other FX’s of it’s time as it had safety rims, leather trim and passenger sunvisor, all for one pound extra. The FX has a 2.15 litre engine pumping out over 60 horses and has a fair bit of history surrounding it. Read the rest of this entry

alfa_48.jpg

As far as luxury goes anything that doesn’t gels with the interiors of your home is of no worth same applies to the high end speakers. The Alfa loudspeaker system fits the luxury home trend. The design of Alfa two-way loudspeaker system is based on a baffle made from laminated composite. A bass-reflex tube, which is made in the very same way, becomes an essential part of the baffle after the manufacturing process is over. Also, when a higher sound volume is set, the bass-reflex tube orifice shape averts the turbulence generation with air circulation in the tube. The excellent baffle and separator design compose the two-way loudspeaker system with excellent technical parameters. The terminals concealing canopy are made from a solid burnished duralumin while the main surface is made from a galvanic gold-coated brass.
