its an amazing phone….until i saw the telenav, i have telenav and id rather get lost in the wrong part of town drunk and disoriented than wait on its “service” to guide me,,,i hate my phone because of this……google here i come

@cduffduff: It has GPS on board. The 8520 has the maps program, but no GPS. Apart from that, I’d say this one’s about the same, only faster, higher resolution and with a trackball…

Hello, guys! I own Nokia E71. I have used it for 1 year and now thinking about new “qwerty” phone. I have a question about this Blackberry. Can this phone record a phone talks? If it can, does it make some “beeps” while recording?

The have fixed the major problems that they had with the trackball. Its just whatever your prefer, really.

8900 or bold 9700?
im pretty sure they have same specs but the bold 2 has the trackpad.

the leather holster loostens in no time…and it puts the phone on standby. best case i’ve had with a phone

HOW TO CHANGE SOUNDS:
Click on profiles, top left on my Blackberry Curve 8900
select advanced
press blackberry button
select new profile
select SMS text(you will have to do this again for MMS messages, they can have different tones)
select ring tone
all the options will then appear, select the tone that you want & save it…
