I have a HDMI monitor. I have a two sided HDMI cable and I plugged one side in the ps3 and one side in the monitor. I turn on the ps3, I even held down the button so ti could adjust but my computer does nothing. Nothing pops up. Am I missing a step?

Hdmi transmit sound. its the dvi end that dosnt transmit it.

I nned to purchase a new monitor. I want one that I can use as a PC and with PS3 and to watch internet TV. What spec should I look for. I have a budget of £100 ish.
