Firstly, I am also very happy Xbox Live Gold members. Instead of buying a points card from a retailer, I made the mistake of buying online Microsoft points via Xbox. I used my gamertag account and entered my credit card on the TV and I bought 500. I had the confirmation email I bought the points. I then used the points. So far so good.
Over the next two days, four other charges totaling $ 30 Xbox mysteriously appeared on my credit card. Someone has bought more points and a game subscription using my credit card. I called Xbox Live support, their response was “we do not give refunds.” I explained that this is not a refund if my account is used fradulently. They always said no.
Note that although the security leak was with them, like any other fraudulent charges appeared on my credit card. . . just Xbox charges.
I then asked to remove my information from credit card to my Xbox Live account. They said they could not do. I could not believe it! Because someone had access to my credit card and they were not willing to remove my information from credit card, I had no choice but to cancel my credit card.
My advice-buy items from a trusted source like Amazon. Do not ever give Microsoft direct access to information on your credit card. I hope this helps.

This is a great name to release Microsoft points in. Since most games on Xbox Live Arcade are purchased in 400 points ($ 5) increments this card gives you the ability to download games 400 or ten points five games 800 points or some other combination (you get the idea). $ 50 is also to be much more acceptable for $ 62. 50 for 5000 points. As this is a map, it makes it possible to give a gift or buy without using credit card. This would be an interesting purchase for anyone with an Xbox 360 and Xbox Live.

To activate the card, you scratch an area on the back of the card to reveal a 25 digit code. Unfortunately, mine when I scraped five numbers to get rid of more protective coating, making the card unusable. I called the Microsoft Xbox support and after about 20 minutes back and forth with an agent and then the supervisor “floor” on it, I was informed that there was simply unable to do anything for me. As an IT professional, I found the support of their staff very unprofessional – a sharp contrast with their support to the company seeking 100% “very satisfied” customers.
While surprised by the inability of Microsoft to help, I called Amazon customer support, explained the situation and to my surprise, they immediately provided a replacement card and apologized profusely for pre-Christmas issue. The replacement has been provided without charge, a return label can be printed from their site and they have even accelerated the port for me – all this without my asking.
Amazon is a retailer of first order and continues to exceed my expectations with every order I place.
At the end of the day, there are two morals to this story. First, be careful scraping off your activation code and, secondly, if you do happen to get a card like mine, do not bother calling Microsoft – they will not do something to help you this subject. Do what I have done since the beginning and deal directly with Amazon instead.

It’s much better than doing it via your Xbox. For one, no tax. The other reason for me at least, is that if you put your credit card into Xbox Live, you can not remove it. You can change it, but it will always be a credit card on file. The purchase of these points via Xbox Live would have cost me $ 54. 12. I’d rather put that $ 4. 12, thank you.

These comments appear on the list to four options, one, three and twelve month subscriptions, and points of market. Choose carefully the “size” above which is where you choose between live “months or” and points to market. Amazon just put all these different products on the same page, calling them different sizes.
There are of course a difference between monthly and points as you can spend points Free Gold membership (just use the free software included “silver” membership with every Xbox 360), and some months you can buy gold without having to get extra points. So it is not required for the other. The points allow you to download additional content, and the month you get the playing time online.
