This monitor has a beautiful image and it works perfectly with my MacBook. The 16:9 aspect ratio is ideal for watching DVDs and Hulu. com. The design is simple and modern, and bright screen is vibrant. For less than $ 150. 00 How can you go wrong?

The integrated speakers are a bit calmer, but better than my laptop speakers integrated.
< br /> When connecting with a Mac, I recommend turning the monitor sleep function Auto-off, as he went to sleep before I can get my Mac to the video output.

I had a 21 “CRT from 10 years. It was fine, just beginning to flash, but Tech was old and weighed 50lbs. I was looking for a year for a reasonable flat screen (hope for a 22″ under $ 200). never find one with speakers that I liked. Volla then! Here is an HP and not just under $ 200, but $ 50 less and with the speakers. looks great! nice design and image of Nice. HP designs for me are the PC version of Mac. Found this in my local ODepot the same as Amazon, without waiting, of course.

This is truly a plug and play. it came with a cd and I was ready to paste when I looked up and it worked very well. What a relief! I have XP. Directions say the native resolution is 1600×900, but everything was too small. I wanted icons and text size as my old CRT. So, after finally appearing exactly what “native resolution is I tried to attach it to the same extent, but less than the recommended (1280×720). That worked very well, icons and text bigger, I do not know really not that 1600×900 does more to make things smaller. Nothing is wrong, so I’m happy.

I ratio 16:9, double windows is a positive that I was not looking for, but programs such as Photoshop will allow more space without menus get across the screen work. May have to reconfigure your toolbars in some programs like u do lose height while gaining wide.

speakers are fine with me, everything I wanted. wasn’t decided to watch a movie anyway. just wanted get rid of the external speakers i had to use. the screen is brilliant, so glare can be a problem if your lights reflect on the wrong angles.

after the having used for a month now, I really do need a larger screen. I could go up to 21. 5 version so I did. it is even clearer than the CRT I guess what makes the reduced height, because I see all is well.

a great deal! Buy before the numbers of HP and raises the price to $ 180. which is probably where it could be because the price jump between 21. 5 and 23 is only $ 30 but $ 80 between 20 “and 21. 5.

    Better than expected.

I was in the market for a monitor to replace my 17in LCD that came with my desktop, and although there was nothing wrong with mine, I wanted a bigger screen to be able to have two word documents open side of one for school and work purposes. I also wanted something that was reasonably priced and also have the flexibility to play games and watch movies from time to time, and this monitor compliance by the extent that all my needs.
The big screen is perfect for viewing documents without having to change the resolution settings in which the letters would be so little to read, and for that price I was not able to let go.
The accumulation speakers are adequate, but when I’m listening to music or doing anything related to media I like the sound very well that my Logitech speakers provide, needless to say that I was not interested sound on the speakers supplied, only the image on the monitor has.
The monitor comes with software and discs on a CD, but I have not even opened the package, I Just pluged in Vista and I let them find the latest drivers for it and I had no problem updating the latest drivers and installation (but it was not necessary).
In Overall I am satisfied with the purchase and I recommend this monitor to anyone looking to upgrade without spending too much money. If the monitor itself is sleek and looks really good, and if it was not because of the HP logo, I would be confused with the Samsung brand because it looks like my plasma.

    Strengths:
very clear picture with a DVI.
The sound quality of speakers is much better compared to others I have owned.
L screen itself is very attractive, smooth and shiny.
The resolution is not so bad.
The big screen is wider than most (16:9 vs. 16: 10).
works right out of the box.
works very well with video games and movies.
Great when two applications should be open to the same time.
Great cable management through an opening in the base of the monitor.

    Cons:
bright screen often reflect objects at any time a light source is present.

    Abstract:
Great screen, great picture quality exceptional, but, like all products come with something to blame, I did not like the glare on the glossy screen.

I waited and waited to replace my old ball and chain control. The purchase of the HP 2009m has been waiting is worthwhile, and was very affordable. The speakers are on the quiet side, but I use my own computer speakers anyway. And each time the monitor starts, there is this annoying little box that tells you what your settings are, it does not stay long, but it gets in the way Windows starts enter password screen. Again pretty minor stuff, since this fantastic image quality, Energy Star rated, money and save space products. It is easily his own against most 200-300 dollar price monitors. Overall a great value and performance!
