The Suntory Mermaid II Boat
The Suntory Mermaid II Boat is totally different boat from what’s available in market so far, as it uses waves to power it instead of a motor. This is probably the most eco friendly power source ever since the sail’s introduction. In this boat a couple of fins are located side-by-side, bow are moved by the waves to produce a dolphin-like kicking propulsion movement. The only problem is you’re stuck with a top speed of 5 knots - which is around three times slower than your average diesel ship.
