Rock or a man on Mars?
Above is a photo from the Mars rover Spirit shows something that looks like a person perched atop a rock on Mars. The photo, shown above, was grabbed from panoramic images taken by Spirit November 6-9, 2007.
In an e-mail, a NASA spokesman said that the “man” on Mars is actually “a 2-inch sedimentary rock that has been eroded by the wind.”

The wind eroded rock(?) stretches credibility.
The shape is unusual for a rock in a humber of respects. Why has nobody challenged this suggestion?
